School has begun

School officially started at MSU today. Campus is really crowded and I must admit I am not exactly thrilled about it. But hey, it's a university.

I met with my adviser last week and found out that I would be able to get course equivalences for Soil Biology, Plant Physiology, and Plant Pathology. Yay! I will be taking those classes in the Philippines, hopefully. I also am going to try to get an internship at IRRI, so that will be at least 12 credits. I am probably going to take one elective course bringing the total to 15 credits. That's the plan anyways, so I'm pretty excited.

I'm making tortellini for myself tonight. Should be interesting...

Things are coming together

I went in to get some questions answered about my trip today. The woman was helpful, but she doesn't really go out of her way to help you out. I just have to figure out what classes I can take while I'm over there, and then I'm all set to go! I'm hoping to turn in my application by Monday next week.

Campus is swarmed with little naive and lost freshman today. It's move in day, so everything is crowded. I cannot believe how fast the summer went this year. It's strange to think that if I wasn't going to the Philippines, I would be starting class on Monday. Thank goodness I'm going to the Philippines.

Well, I'll be sure to keep you all posted on what happens. No offers on the car yet...

this week is S..........L.............O.............W......

The office is almost empty this week, and I was given the task of copying hundreds of DVDs of Chinese Sesame Street episodes. A slow, tedious and repetitious process, making for long days. My car is in the shop, so I'm being carted everywhere too. But I don't mind too much.

I received notice that I've been accepted into my Philippines program! Now I have to apply to the actual school there, and then I should be set to go. It's hard to believe that I'll be leaving about 2 months from now. YIKES.

I finally finished my summer-long Office marathon. One of my friends got me watching NBC's The Office on DVD. The show starts into it's 4th season in the fall, so I had three seasons to catch up on. The humor is right up my alley, so I've enjoyed seeing most of it. It's ridiculous, and and pretty politically incorrect, but that is what makes it funny. I see so much of how office life is like, and it's totally exaggerated in this show.

Well, see you all later!
